The quote above is from Kristin L. Arola’s “The Design of Web 2.0: The Rise of the Template, The Fall of Design”. From readings such as this and from class discussions, I completely agree that Design is extremely important and crucial to the success of digital writing. Teachers should advise to students to pay more attention to design because most of the time it’s not just about what is said or seen in a picture. It’s more about the attention to detail using rhetorical functions to properly display it to the audience in the way it’s supposed to be.
